The Director General of Al-Mudhaffar District, Mr. Mohammed Abdulrahman Al-Kadahi, officially handed over the site for the solar-powered well project ☀️ in Madibat Al-Noor and Hawl Al-Shajarah areas, marking the beginning of work on this vital initiative 💠 aimed at improving access to clean drinking water 💧.
The project is funded by Yemen Humanitarian Fund (YHF) 💵 and implemented by Assistance for Response and Development (ARD-Y), in partnership with UN-HABITAT 🌍.
During the event, Mr. Al-Kadahi emphasized the project’s importance in easing the suffering of residents 👨👩👧👦, especially amid ongoing humanitarian challenges. He praised the efforts of international organizations and local partners 🤝 in implementing sustainable development projects 🏗️ that directly benefit citizens.
The project will ensure consistent water pumping using solar energy ☀️, reducing reliance on fuel and providing a safe and regular water supply 💦.
