Juvenile Facility Building Handed Over to Rehabilitation Contractor under Community Integration Project ๐Ÿ‘ทโ€โ™‚๏ธ๐Ÿ”ง

Today, Assistance for Response and Development (ARD-Y), officially handed over the juvenile facility site at the Central Correctional Facility to the rehabilitation contractor. This comes within the framework of the Community Cohesion and Reintegration Project targeting juveniles under 18 in conflict with the law at two juvenile centers in Taiz, funded by Saferworld ๐ŸŒ.

๐Ÿ‘ฅ The handover took place in the presence of key stakeholders, including Deputy Director of Taiz Police Center, Director of the Correctional Facility, and Youth and Childrenโ€™s Governor of Taiz.

๐Ÿ“ฆ The ongoing project includes a wide range of interventions in: health, education, psychosocial support, shelter, WASH, food security, protection, and solar lighting โ˜€๏ธ.

During the signing, the Deputy Director of Taiz Police Center expressed his gratitude to ARD-Y for its humanitarian intervention and accurate needs assessment, and thanked Saferworld for supporting this initiative, which is expected to have a positive and far-reaching impact on juvenile inmates amidst the difficult conditions faced by these facilities.

๐Ÿฝ๏ธ Additionally, the kitchen at the Social Care Home was furnished, and support was provided in the areas of shelter, health, education, protection, and lightingโ€”as part of the same project.
