As part of the project to improve shelter and sustainable housing conditions for people affected by the protracted crisis through the provision of sustainable shelter solutions in the districts of Salah, Al-Mudhaffar, and Maqbanah in Taiz governorate, ARD-Y held the first coordination meeting for CCs, representatives of IDPs, and the executive unit at the district level.
The purpose of the meeting was to explain the project goals and main activities including house rehabilitation for the most affected and needy returnees in Al-Mudhaffar District, the provision of cash for rental aids in Salah District, and transitional shelters maintenance in Maqbanah District. Selection criteria, and the initial registration mechanism for rental and rehabilitation activities were also discussed.
The project is Funded YHF and implemented by Un-Habitat through its implementing partner, Assistance for Response and Development (ARD-Y).
