Home gardens to improve nutrition and reduce malnutrition have been a tradition of our ancestors throughout the ages, especially in rural communities. To promote this culture in the most affected and needy areas, a training course for 30 trainees was held under the auspices of the Minister of Agriculture, Irrigation, and Fisheries and Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO).
the trainees from three governorates, Taiz, Lahj, and Al Dhale’e, will train small farmers on best agricultural practices.
Local IPs participated in this course includes: Assistance for Response and Development (ARD-Y) ,NFDHR, Selah Foundation for Development Estijabah Foundation for Humanitarian and Relief.
The training course funded by the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD).
