The establishment of Water User Associations, equipped with solar-powered wells, drip irrigation systems, and comprehensive training for their teams, represents a significant step towards water sustainability and farmer empowerment.
The excessive water wastage from flood irrigation threatens groundwater reserves and increases farming costs, potentially discouraging farmers from agriculture. To ensure water and economic sustainability, six associations will be established or reactivated in Al-Ma’afer, Tuban, and Al-Maqatirah. Their wells will be powered by solar energy, and their teams will receive comprehensive training, enhancing irrigation efficiency and promoting sustainable agricultural development.
