, community representatives, and a number of citizens, the site was handed over today to the contractor to commence the implementation and operation

of the Wahr Water Project powered by solar energy


, which includes:
Operating the well using solar power

Constructing four water distribution points

Rehabilitating the existing water network

The project is funded by YHF and implemented in partnership with UN-Habitat.

The project is located in Bait Al-Wafi ‘Uzlah – Jabal Habashi District, serves 7,200 people, and forms part of ongoing efforts to improve sustainable access to safe water, reduce the daily burden on households, and strengthen community resilience
