Handing over the Site of Waher Well in Jabal Habashi District to the contractor to commence the implementation and operation  of the Water Project powered by solar energy

Access to safe drinking water remains a major challenge for villages that suffer from the hardship of fetching water, and for the most vulnerable communities and households—especially women and children 👩‍👩‍👧‍👦.
🤝 In this context, and in the presence of the local authority 🏛️, community elders 👥, community representatives, and a number of citizens, the site was handed over today to the contractor to commence the implementation and operation 🚧 of the Wahr Water Project powered by solar energy ☀️💦, which includes:
Operating the well using solar power ☀️
Constructing four water distribution points 🚰
Rehabilitating the existing water network 🔧
The project is funded by YHF and implemented in partnership with UN-Habitat.
📍 The project is located in Bait Al-Wafi ‘Uzlah – Jabal Habashi District, serves 7,200 people, and forms part of ongoing efforts to improve sustainable access to safe water, reduce the daily burden on households, and strengthen community resilience 🌱💪.
✨ Together, we work for a dignified life and a better future.
