Earlier today, the implementation sites for two key water projects were officially handed over to the contractor: a solar-powered system for the Al-Sunna Water Project and a pumping line for the Al-Mashawlah Water Project.
These projects are funded by the Yemen Humanitarian Fund (YHF) and implemented by ARD-Y, the implementing partner of UN-Habitat, as part of ongoing efforts to enhance the sustainability of water services and improve pumping efficiency in rural areas.
The targeted locations are among the most densely populated areas in Al-Ma’afer District, making these interventions a high priority, with an estimated 21,000 beneficiaries expected to gain improved access to water.
