Today, the first cash payment was launched for 100 beneficiaries under the household latrine rehabilitation activity in Al-Misrakh District. This is the first installment out of three, through which each beneficiary will receive an amount of cash to support the rehabilitation of latrines.
This activity comes in response to efforts aimed at combating the cholera outbreak ๐ฆ , promoting hygiene awareness ๐งผ, and reducing the spread of diseases. It is part of the Shelter, WASH Project implemented by Assistance for Response and Development (ARD-Y) ๐ค, the implementing partner of UN-Habitat ๐๏ธ, and funded by YHF ๐ต.
The launch event was attended by the Director General of Al-Misrakh District, who praised the project and expressed his gratitude to those managing it, encouraging the continuation of such initiatives that serve the community and help alleviate its suffering. ๐
