Field visit to follow up on the progress of the rehabilitation of the Al-Mashawla water source project

๐Ÿšฐ Al-Mashawla Water Project Eases Fuel Crisis Impact through Solar Energy โ˜€๏ธ

In light of rising fuel pricesโ›ฝ, many families who rely on piped water networks are increasingly struggling to access clean water ๐Ÿ’ง. This crisis has significantly affected both displaced families ๐Ÿš๏ธ and host communities ๐Ÿค.

To address these challenges, a vital intervention is underway through Al-Mashawla Water Project, which supplies water to 41 communities ๐Ÿ˜๏ธ, benefiting a total of 2,600 people ๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐Ÿ‘งโ€๐Ÿ‘ฆ. The project aims to power the well using solar energy โ˜€๏ธ, promoting sustainable water access while reducing dependence on traditional fuels. The project includes:

  • ๐Ÿ”‹ Installation of 105 solar panels, each with a capacity of 660 watts, totaling 69,300 watts.

  • โš™๏ธ Operation of two solar-powered electric pumps, each with a capacity of 45 kilowatts.

  • ๐Ÿ› ๏ธ Rehabilitation of the well through the replacement of pipes and all related components.

  • ๐Ÿงฑ Renovation of the water reservoir, both internally and externally, with a storage capacity of 319 cubic meters.
