Coordination Meetings to Launch the Rural Resilience and Climate Adaptation Project

Assistance for Response and Development (ARD-Y), in collaboration with Taiz Governorate Agriculture Office, held the first coordination meeting at the Agriculture Office headquarters to discuss the implementation of the “Rural Resilience 3 – #ERRYIII” project. This initiative is part of the Joint Programme to Enhance Livelihoods, Food Security, and Climate Resilience in Yemen, funded by the EU International Partnerships and the Government of Sweden, and implemented by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) in partnership with ARD-Y.

The project targets the governorates of Taiz and Lahj, encompassing a comprehensive package of agricultural interventions in both crop and livestock sectors. The Director General of the Agriculture Office in Taiz praised ARD-Y’s vital role in coordinating and implementing agricultural initiatives across the governorate and within the targeted districts. In return, ARD-Y expressed its appreciation for the continuous support provided by the Agriculture Office in facilitating project implementation and overcoming operational challenges.
