Distribution of 40 fodder cutters in Al-Misrakh and Al-Ma’afer districts

Al-Misrakh district is known for its fertile lands and diverse crops, and is considered one of the most important agricultural areas in Taiz Governorate. The fodder and grain milling sectors are a fundamental pillar of the success of the agricultural sector. They provide important services to farmers that reduce the cost of fodder purchases and improve the quality of agricultural products.
As part of its efforts to support rural development in Taiz Governorate, Assistance for Response and Development Foundation (ARD-Y) launched the distribution of 20 fodder cutters and grain milling units to three agricultural sub-districts: Arash, Musfer, and Hasban Asfal in Al-Misrakh district. The project aims to provide advanced services to farmers in the field of fodder cutting and grain milling, contributing to improving the quality of agricultural production and increasing productivity.
The launch was attended by local authorities at the governorate level, represented by the Deputy Governor, the Director General of Al-Misrakh District, and the Director of the Agriculture Office in the district, in addition to sector-user committees and a group of farmers.
The distribution of 20 fodder cutters is an important step in supporting the agricultural sector in Al-Misrakh District. It is hoped that this project will contribute to improving farmers’ living standards and achieving self-sufficiency in agricultural crops in the district.
Farmers were trained on how to operate and maintain the fodder cutters.
ARD-y will provide advisory services to farmers on how to use the fodder cutters effectively.
The activity will be accompanied by the distribution of trefoil seeds and agricultural guidance, which targetes 2,715 farmers, who will be also targeted with other inputs.
