Families in Al-Quhifa sub-district of Maqbanah District have long suffered from hardship, and their hardship has been exacerbated by the difficulty of accessing clean water. Women and children have had to travel long, arduous distances to fetch water, impacting their health, time, and education.
With funding from the Yemen Humanitarian Fund (YHF) and implementation by the Assistance for Response and Development (ARD-Y) in partnership with Un-Habitat Program, a sustainable solution to this suffering has been found. Work is currently underway.

The project includes a solar-powered pumping unit, a pumping line, and a 50-cubic-meter tank at the top of the area. This will connect the pipeline to all nearby areas, ensuring clean water access for all HHs.
